State v. J.M. TRAFFICKING IN HYDROCODONE > 28 grams

The Defendant was out with friends while he was home on military leave. His vehicle was stopped by the police and a search of his vehicle was conducted. There were four occupants in the vehicle. The police searched the car and found a pack of 305 cigarettes in the center console. Inside the pack of cigarettes was over 28 grams of hydrocodone. If found guilty of possessing that amount without a prescription, the client would be facing a minimum of 15 years in prison. Darren Finebloom investigated the case thoroughly and obtained statements from everyone in the vehicle. After providing those statements to the Pinellas County State Attorney’s Office, the trafficking charges were dropped. One pill was found on the Defendant and he was offered pre-trial intervention. All charges were dropped.

The Defendant got into an argument with his girlfriend. He was accused of battery resulting in serious injury. After a thorough investigation Darren Finebloom informed the State Attorney’s office of the weaknesses in their case. Shortly thereafter all charges were dropped.
